Gareth Shaw & Chet Ozgen will be attending the SPE Reservoir Simulation Conference in Montgomery, Texas from 20th to 22nd February 2017. Gareth is a member of the Technical Committee and will be co-chair of a session.

RKS have successfully run benchmark models on the NVIDIA Tesla P100 GPUs with tremendous speed improvement. Benchmarks include utilising NVIDIA’s NVlink technology which enables high speed interconnect between GPUs.

Garf Bowen presented “Parallelism at all points helping to quantify reservoir uncertainty” at the NVIDIA GPU Technology Conference in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The results showed significantly improved performance form GPU technology.

Ridgeway Kite exhibits at the SPE ATCE 2016 in Dubai, UAE. Tommy Miller and Gareth Shaw will attend.

RKS successfully ports to IBM Power 8 architecture and benchmarks models on IBM Power CPUs and NVIDIA K80s.

Ridgeway Kite, EOG Resources and SM Energy Company signed an R&D agreement on a Completion Design & Optimization Tool for Unconventional Resources. This agreement will act as a springboard to accelerate the development of unique capabilities for the simulation of Unconventional reservoirs.

Ridgeway Kite exhibits at it’s first industry event – the SPE ATCE 2015 in Houston, Texas. Tommy Miller, Chet Ozgen and Ian Pallister will be in attendance.

Ian Pallister presented “Reservoir simulation history matching with fully integrated HPC architecture” at the Second EAGE High Performance Computing for Upstream Workshop in Duabi, UAE.

Garf Bowen and Gareth Shaw were on the Technical Committee of the SPE Reservoir Simulation Symposium 2015 held in Houston. Garf presented a paper titled “A Massively Parallel Coupled Reservoir and Surface Facilities Simulator”.
